Round Conference Tables

Help identify table. Price suggestions?

We have this old Conference table that was restored a few years ago, we recovered the chairs and made a few changes to the table to make it more structurally sound and spent close to $2,000. We are trying to sell it. any ideas on what type of table I should say it is, or a price range to list it for? see the table: http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/8769/img2307n.jpg http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/1927/img2312i.jpg

  1. Not sure exactly, but I wouldnt call it a "Conference Table" A dining table of this size would be attractive to buyers who have large dining rooms, and these sizes are hard to find. I would call it a Dining Table and then give the size of it closed and open, and the number a chairs, a photo of the head chairs, and side chair would be helpful too. The wood is Mahogany and it looks like a new finish has been applied, so its not a traditional Antique. Circa perhaps early turn of the century 1920s or so. Some ways to sell are Antique Auctions, Consignment Stores, Ebay. an ad in NYTimes classified, would reach a large target market. Sorry I dont have time to research the exact style and it wouldnt be possible to give an accurate estimate of its worth Im not qualified. But I have sold dining room sets in period styles before and my clients expect to pay from 4-7000 for a new dining set with custom upholstery on the seats and a warranty. Just know that an appraisal of an "antique" is not its market value, so the key here is to market it where the high end buyers will appreciate it.
