Who honestly believes a bottom-feeder from one BCS conference can run the table in another?
Reading college football forums, I hear all kinds of things like "The Pac-10 sucks, honestly Baylor could run the table if they played there." "SEC is the best, West Virginia would be winless if they played there." How many people honestly believe this is true, that there exists a BCS conference so weak that a crappy team from another conference can run the table there. Or that a conference is so terrible that their best team couldn't get a single win in a superior conference. Then, apply this to non-BCS schools. Would Tulsa, Fresno State, Memphis, Miami (OH), pull a "Washington" if they played in a power conference? Please also state what team could run what conference and what evidence you have. I remember Michigan got killed by USC last time they met in the Rose Bowl. Michigan also got killed by OSU this year, who got killed by USC. Michigan also got owned by Oregon with 2 statue of liberty plays in the Big House. So please also say why you think Michigan can run the Pac-10. So please

- yes its possible
- If you find out, let's see about getting Toledo out of the MAC.
- Totally possible. Put Michigan in the PAC 10 and realize how weak the PAC 10 is. Michigan would run that conference then.
- I do not think the "worst" teams can win in another conference but the middle of the road teams can. For instance, in the BIG 12 Oklahoma State loss 3 games to Texas and Texas Tech on the road and Oklahoma at home. I think Oklahoma State could win the Pac 10, Big 10, Big East, or ACC. They got 4TH in just the BIG 12 South division. That is the point I make. I do not think Baylor could do the same or non BCS schools, but the 3rd or 4th place team in the BIG 12 or SEC could win in other BCS conferences. EDIT: I think Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, LSU,and Georgia could all win the pac 10, big 10, big east, and acc. The Pac 10 is consistently overrated. The only team in that conference is USC.
- To the poster above me, I don't think LSU could have won the Sun Belt this season, and I know they wouldn't have won the Mac. Only an idiot would think a bottom feeder in one BCS conference could win another BCS conference, even if it is down. Match ups play a huge factor in non conference games. Also time of year, where they are at, what game both teams just played, how the season is going, and so on. Some teams just match up better against others. Look at Ohio State, they are 0-9 against the SEC in bowl games, but hold a 3-0 record against the big 12 in BCS bowls, and a 28-4 record over all. Does this mean Ohio State would dominate the big 12 and finish dead last in the SEC? I don't think so.
- No bottom feeder from a BCS conference would win any other BCS conference. No BCS conference winner would finish at the bottom of any other BCS conference. The quality of the BCS conferences is closer than people realize. However, I do believe that a bottom feeder from a BCS conference would win a mid-major conference. For example, put Mississippi State in any non-BCS conference, and they will finish in the top 2 or 3 every year.
- Baylor is no longer a bottom feeder. They are a good team and getting better. they will go Bowling next year despite being in the ultra-tough Big-12 South. They wouldn't run the table, but I could see them finishing second or third in some conferences.
